What does it mean "Memoires of a Chef"?

If you read my Origin of Memoires of a Chef, you've made it to my second writing, and this one has grabbed momentum as I have literally written it 2 days after that one. Something which I'd never done before on my blog! Exciting stuff!  This post will be all to do with building the concept of my cooking channel, perhaps other people have thought about doing something, but kept putting it off, cause I have been doing that for such a long time with this blog...mostly anxiety and the feeling of inadequacy that my writing wasn't up to scratch; but, up to scratch to what is always my second thought...like "up to what and who's scratch am I even competing with?" Food for thought, I suppose. But, anyways, we are currently at the initial writing of ideas.  What does it mean "Memoires of a Chef"?  The idea that food can bring so many memories was something I began tapping into in my last blog, but let's dive deeper, understanding the concept as to how I s

Origin of Memoires of a Chef

The concept of the name behind the idea has been boiling over in my head for some time, understanding what it means to me and what I want it to bring to my life. It's like remembering the first time you heard that song, and it brings back so many fond memories. Well, if you put it across food, it honestly brings so many fruitful moments, which has allowed me to treasure my life through the richness of what I consume.  The idea of a Chef is to bring edible elements into fruition as if they were there waiting for you to break the shell; food can mean so much to people, it can be their life, or it can be their hell, be what it is to you, it really does bring a moment of clarity to one's mind, with the opportunity to bring a whole nation together. That is the fascinating idea that food can bring to an individual.  Honestly, something I've been pondering for some time is the moment I realise I will begin writing, a daunting task, to say the least, and perhaps blown out of propor

2 | On being in touch with yourself...

Being observant of your 'self', in the sense that you listen to your gut feeling, is a skill I am proactively seeking to improve. The ability to step back and breathe is something everyone should learn. That inner voice that holds a constant conversation with what may resemble an angel and a devil has powerful consequences to the activities you decide to partake. Perhaps it is self-motivated or instead influenced by creating the greatest goodness 'out there' in the world. What is vital is that you take ownership of all your thoughts, feelings, and dreams! Instantly, an abundance of freedom lies within the beholder. Why? Because, every internal creation is as unique as your fingerprint marks, and this is refreshing: Smile to yourself. Let creativity take reign and create what inspires you; this should involve all, that brings you passion. Let the music of life shake goodness and vibrancy; honestly it feels amazing to connect with the world. I aim to get a greater under

1 | Why I will begin to write

I thought which way should I start my blog…well, let’s bring some real numbers to the scene, as of the 3rd April 2020 in the UK there have been 3,605 confirmed deaths from the COVID-19 and 38,168 confirmed infections (1). Numbers that are utterly incomprehensible since this is only the UK. But, real life is happening every second, let’s cherish every moment like it is our last. Now, for this short, while I am not aiming to be a newsworthy information platform, I am just seeking to improve a skill I’ve been putting off for some time. I took inspiration to start this from Seth Godin’s blog and his approach to writing, he writes for himself, which is a relief since he is just trying to put his opinion out there. I want to do precisely the same, though he writes every day, I currently don’t. I’m about to change that, perhaps not every day, but I’ll actively be working on something.  So, I present to you…me! My name is Obri Gonzalez, 23 years young. Now people will wonder where the name c
